Award winning restaurant gets on board the Snailway
Award winning restaurants, The Salt Room and The Coal Shed (with sites in Brighton and London), have pledged their support to Martlets Hospice by signing up as a Snailspace sponsor. Recent winner of the Seafish UK Restaurant of the Year 2017, The Salt Room champions sustainability and showcases the very best local produce. The Coal Shed has long been a favourite steak restaurant in Brighton and have just opened their flagship site at One Tower Bridge. The restaurant group, which has been committed to supporting Martlets since 2016, has gone beyond the basic sponsor package and opted for a longer-term relationship with the charity to develop a mutually rewarding programme tailored to achieving their corporate social responsibility objectives.
Commenting on their decision to get involved as a Charity Partner, Olivia Reid, General Manager, the Salt Room said: “Snailspace is a fantastic opportunity for us to support a local charity and the wider community in our home town of Brighton. The huge success of the SnowDogs has opened our eyes to what can happen with the imagination of the public. We are honoured to be a part of it.”
Emma Knight, Head of Corporate and Major Donor Giving, Martlets Hospice said: “Working with The Salt Room is a delight and we are focused on developing a long-term, mutually beneficial, relationship. We’ve already worked on some great projects together and this is the ideal opportunity to deepen our involvement, ensuring that we help them achieve their goals around CSR and community engagement, as well as having some fun. And, what better way to start than with giant snails!
The Snailspace campaign has already attracted more sponsors than the highly successful Snowdogs by the Sea and there are just a few more weeks until the deadline. You can find out more about sponsorship or get in touch with Sarah Harvey who’s our Project Manager.
