Emily’s Journey

Emily’s Journey

Emily’s Journey

In a world where phones and computer screens are constantly vying for our attention, looking up can be something of a novelty. The words that adorn this snail are by Nikki Jones who wrote a poem for her friend’s young daughter Emily, urging her to see the beauty in the world by looking up.

Artist Joanna Martin also works part-time for Martlets. Her eclectic artwork is inspired by colour and pattern and she creates eclectic 3D pieces and embroideries. Take the time to look up as you roam around Brighton, you never know what you might see (but mind those pesky lamp posts and busy roads).
