Get Outside Day
National GetOutside Day is an initiative started by Ordnance Survey that aims to get people active in the beautiful outdoors across the UK.
This year National GetOutside Day fell on 30th September and we’re proud to say that our Snailway is encouraging all sorts of people from all over Brighton and Hove to get outside. Almost 100,000 people have visited our Snails and unlocked them using our Snailspace App. While plenty more have been visiting using our Route Map. You can check out our weekly Tales from the Snails feature on Facebook to see some of the people getting outside in all weathers to visit our Snails. We even have a 101 year old Snail Seeker!
You could take an urban stroll to visit our inner-city Snails. Or trek out to Stanmer Park to walk the Downs and visit Inner Beauty. Similarly, enjoy some salty sea air and meet all eight of our seafront Snails.
We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful city sandwiched between the Sussex Downs and the sea. So whether it’s just a visit to your favourite city Snail or a trek to meet the whole gang, take some time away from your desk to explore the city. Consequently, you’ll experience the fantastic work of our Snailspace artists.
Find your way
To help you navigate the Snailway, you can use our fantastic Snailspace Route Map. Maps are available from any of our Martlets charity shops or to download HERE. Or you can get stuck in with our great Snailspace App that lets you track how many Snails you’ve found and collect rewards along the way!
