Theatrical snail to star on our snailway
We’re delighted that Brighton’s historic playhouse, The Theatre Royal, has signed up to sponsor a snail. Ahead of the event in September, staff from the theatre gave their backing to our central campaign message to #BeMoreSnail.
John Baldock, General Manager, Theatre Royal Brighton, explained why they wanted to get involved in another art trail in aid of Martlets:
“We loved being a part of the Snowdogs by the Sea Trail and were so delighted to hear that following the success of the 2016 trail that the Snailspace trail would launch in 2018! We had the pleasure of hosting the launch for Snailspace back in October and knew that we wanted to support this fantastic cause. Life today is so fast passed and we like the idea of slowing things down and being #MoreSnail.”
He continues: “At Theatre Royal Brighton we enjoy being able to create unforgettable experiences for our customers and allow them to sit back, relax and be entertained! We love that Snailspace shares a similar ethos – the local community can enjoy and share a unique experience with friends old and new. We can’t wait to see our finished snail, which will be designed around one of the true stars of our historic theatre.”
Although a closely guarded secret at the moment we know that their snail is going to be a true ‘star’ of our snailway.
